There is free car parking in The Square and along the High Street. This is for a maximum of 1 hr (Mon - Sat, 9am-6pm)
The supermarkets and some other businesses also have free car parking for their customers.

North Dorset District Council car parks

Charges in the following car parks apply Monday to Saturday, 8.00am to 6.00pm.

In all disabled users may park free for up to 3 hours when displaying a blue badge and parked in a disabled bay.

Gas Lane

This small car is the closest to St. Mary's Church.

Charges:

There are 2 adjacent car parks towards the west end of the High Stree - the rear part, by the Rectory, is long stay; the front part, short stay.

Long stay charges:
  • Up to 1 hour: 60p

  • 2 hrs to 4 hrs: £2.20
  • 4 hrs to 10 hrs: £4.00

Short stay charges:

Chantry Fields - by the Library

This car is the most likely to have spaces free on weekdays, and is only a few minutes walk from St. Mary's Church.

Charges:
  • Up to 30 minutes: 30p
  • 30 mins to 1 hr: 40p
  • 1 hr to 2 hrs: 60p
  • 2 hrs to 4 hrs: 70p
  • 4 hrs to 24 hrs: £1.00

There is some parking alongside the road just south of the church; the school grounds are used to park in when larger numbers are expected.

Parking for St. Mary's CEVA Primary School

There is limited parking in the school grounds, with on-street parking possible nearby.

Parking for Langham Chapel

Park on the lane near the Chapel.
